The roof garden at Flora Tristan middle school is a vegetable garden where fruit, vegetables and flowers are grown. It's an educational project that welcomes students for educational workshops during school and extracurricular time. Training courses on urban agriculture are also given, as well as team-building sessions for companies. The site hosts a wide variety of growing media: aquaponics, tubs, soil layers and even a greenhouse.
The roof covers a total surface area of 2100 m². The roof is divided into two main zones, located on either side of an aedicula topped by a glass roof. During school hours, the roof is accessible via the main entrance at 4 rue Galleron.
